Eliot Wong, the founder, recognized a challenge that every firm big or small seems to experience. Finding and retaining experienced drafters or a team of drafters who have the level of proficiency to be efficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Eliot’s personal last straw was receipt of a set of floodplain maps from a freelance drafter that were astonishingly or astoundingly incredibly poor. This was of course at the most inopportune time and the outcome was both embarrassing and frustrating.
Many of his colleagues expressed the same stress of being a professional in the field of engineering and they were concerned about the impact of seemingly unachievable deadlines from losing a CAD person or needing a CAD person.
